Patience
Every pet is different. We never rush a session. We allow time for trust, curiosity, and personality to unfold naturally.

About PET•LENS
At PET•LENS, we believe the bond between a pet and the people who love them deserves to be remembered — naturally, honestly, and beautifully.

The Story Behind PET•LENS
I've always been drawn to observation.
Long before PET•LENS, my career was rooted in geoscience, environmental stewardship, and workplace safety—fields where careful observation, thoughtful planning, and attention to detail matter every day.
Photography, however, has been a constant throughout my life. For more than twenty years, I've carried a camera in one form or another, always searching for light, emotion, and the stories that often go unnoticed.
Over the years, that passion evolved into a profession. For more than eight years, I photographed homes, architecture, and immersive virtual tours throughout Greater Vancouver, helping families and real estate professionals showcase the places they loved.
Then I realized something.
I had spent years capturing the places people called home.
Now I wanted to capture the lives that made those places feel like home.
That's how PET•LENS was born.
My background taught me precision; photography taught me patience. Together, they shape every PET•LENS session—carefully planned, never rushed, and always centred on the unique bond between people and the animals they love.
Whether I'm photographing a playful puppy, a senior companion, a horse, a curious cat, or an entire family together, my goal is always the same—to create photographs that bring you back to a feeling, not just a moment.
Years from now, when time has quietly changed everything, I hope these photographs will help you remember exactly how it felt to be loved by them.
The PET•LENS Philosophy
The most meaningful photographs rarely begin with a perfect pose. They begin with patience, trust, and the freedom for your pet to be exactly who they are.
A playful look. A muddy nose. A proud high-five. A quiet cuddle. A joyful sprint across the beach.
Every session is shaped around your pet's personality—not around rigid instructions or a hurried schedule.
Whether your companion is energetic, curious, shy, or enjoying their senior years, we create the space for genuine moments to unfold naturally.
We photograph who they are—not simply what they look like.

Patience · Trust · Connection
What Guides Every Session
Every PET•LENS session is built around four simple principles that shape every interaction, every photograph, and every memory we create together.
Every pet is different. We never rush a session. We allow time for trust, curiosity, and personality to unfold naturally.
The strongest photographs come from genuine relationships. We focus on creating moments before creating images.
Years of experience in professional photography are combined with careful composition, beautiful light, and meticulous editing.
These photographs are more than digital files. They become treasured artwork and lasting reminders of the love you shared.

Their personality comes first
The PET•LENS Experience
A PET•LENS session is relaxed, patient, and shaped around the animal you know best.
There may be walks, treats, playtime, quiet pauses, unexpected detours, and plenty of room for your pet to explore.
There is no expectation that they need to sit perfectly or look at the camera on command. The goal is not performance.
The goal is recognition—that moment when you see a photograph and immediately think:
“That is exactly who they are.”
Before
We plan around personality, comfort, location, and light.
During

Our Approach
At PET•LENS, we believe photographs are valuable because they preserve something that actually happened.
Every image representing our work is photographed in the real world — with real pets, real families, and real moments.
We don't use AI-generated images to create or represent our photography.
